Spring Baseball 2009

Spring Ball is officially over.  We had a great ride.  Both boys have improved so much over this season and I am so proud of their attitudes during the winning and losing of games.

Girlfriend Reunion

How much can 9 girls laugh during a 75 Hour Period? Way too much!
This past weekend, I met my high school girlfriends in California for a long weekend. Every girl needs a break from everyday life every once in a while.  It's great therapy!!

We left 22 kids at home and enjoyed Disneyland riding all the big rides.  We didn't have to worry about the height requirement on any rides.
We sometimes forgot that we are 33 and not 15.
After being friends for over 18 years our bond grows tighter with each year. We share our life stories together and boy do we have some good stories!

We couldn't go non stop like we use to, we had to stop and take a nap!
I am grateful for good friends, good times and a great husband that watched the kids so I could go!!!  Can't wait for next time!

First Tooth

Madelyn lost her first tooth today.  She is still a month away from turning 5.  I guess my baby is growing up!  No more straight smile!!  Not that we got one very often anyways!!

This video was shown today in church for Mother's Day and I thought I would share it with you!

Garrett's Birthday Part Two

Friday, Madelyn and I went to the school to bring cookies and McDonalds for Garrett's Birthday but we were not allowed in because of this crazy Swine Flu.  Are you kidding me??? We had to send the cookies back with the staff.

Garrett wanted waffles with strawberries for his birthday breakfast.

After breakfast, we went to Madelyn's spring concert at school.  (Madelyn is sitting on the ground with her Ms. Isabelle?!)

At noon, Garrett Wade Griffiths was baptized by his father.  It was such a special afternoon.  We are so proud of his decision to follow Jesus and to be baptized!

Chad, Preston, Miles, Angie, Hayley, Madelyn, Natalie, Matt, Christopher, Garrett, Mammaw Griffiths and Grandpa Wade

After his baptism, we went to Double Daves for Pizza and then home to open presents.

That evening we went to watch Christopher play baseball.  Christopher's been a great pitcher this season.

Grandpa was so excited to be working on his tan and not shoveling snow!

Happy Birthday, Garrett!

May Birthdays

This month it seems my list of May Birthdays are all from women from church.  These are all great women who I am very blessed to know.  I wish them all a Happy Birthday, they definitely deserve it!  It's great to sometimes remember the great people who are in your life!

May 1st is Julie Crockett's birthday.  Julie's husband and Matt coach baseball and are cub scout leaders together.  Julie is so creative and is always planning fun pack meetings for the scouts! She does a super job making sure they all have a good time.

May 4th is Cheryl Rubink's birthday.  I first met Cheryl when we were partners for visiting teaching.  Cheryl is so down to earth.  She has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and it shows in the way she lives her life.  I am excited for her to be our new Primary President and to serve with her.

May 12th is Mandy Richard's birthday.  Mandy use to come to my home for visiting teaching. She was always so open and fun to talk with.  Mandy survived a house fire this fall with her 2 small children and she rarely complained.  I miss our visits!

May 17th is Jane Newman's birthday.  Jane is THE kindest person I know.  She is someone that I would want to be related to so I could stick with her through the eternities.  You are really missing out in life by not knowing Jane.  She is moving with her family to Switzerland this summer and she will surely be missed.

May 23rd is Millie Bickmore's birthday.  Millie leads music for the children at church and she does an Awesome job at it.  The kids have a blast learning the new songs.  She comes up the most creative ways to teach the kids.  My kids love the moving darts with the nerf gun or mystery dye or the spinning chair...I could go on and on with her unique ideas.

May 28th is Jamie McPheeters birthday.  Jamie has been organizing all the visits for the women of our church and keeping us all in line...and now she going is be great to work along side in the Primary organization.  You can always count on Jamie.  That is a great quality to have!!
